Color Enhancement & Correction Service

Color correction is an optional add-on offered on any bouquet size. Color correction is most valuable for pressed flowers. The pressing process varies depending on the size and type of flower. Some flowers are better deconstructed and then reconstructed petal by petal, such as roses. Some flower can be pressed whole without difficulty, such as daisies. During this process, petals experience dehydration and the colors change. The original color often fades, browns, or becomes translucent, especially with white- and pastel-colored flowers. The process of color enhancement & correction begins with color and tone matching of the original petals. Remember that this is an art and much like nature, won’t be 100% perfect. Each petal is then colored with a powder pigment or sprayed with floral colors. Pigment covers the translucency of white flowers and often adds a matte look to the finish. Treatment with color correction may increase the life expectancy of the dried flowers as they are exposed to light, humidity, and heat.
